Nigger is a damn

good book.

The first "Nigras"

came from niger.

The last nigger

hasn’t been born.

Today’s Negroes,

now they be white,

like albus nigrums,

quaint and white.

The original Niggas—

now they were black,

beautiful, dark, deep black.

And when God looked down

He’d break out in a smile

as wide as Heaven's rivers are deep.

But if words are just— I mean,

who the crap should even care

if six dead letters,

N-I-G-G-E, you know,

in Darwin’s world

shit don’t matter.

If the fittest

must survive,

Cull’n some dumb coons

is a positive good.

Go ask Margaret

if she cares?

Even some of Uncle Sam's

kids saw it once:

sometimes a nigger's

a better book when it's burned.
